WHAT's INSIDE YOU TANK BAG
My tank bag is my most useful pack on my bike.
I have a check list of items and a specific tray for all the contents.
I empty it after most trips ad reload for every trip.
So what's inside?
The three most important items by far are:
bag of cable ties of the 3 main sizes, + assortment of zip-lok bags, + a roll of duct tape.
- Then my Headlamp torch with some spare batteries
- Camera tripod
- a rescue strobe light (because I have them)
- puncture kit + 2 mushrooms. glue in a small can. The lid has a brush built in.
- tow strap which is actually 3 straps. Each 1.5 meters long
- jammer lappie
- Hella plug to normal cig lighter socket adapter
- mobile phone charger
- F4 bluetooth charger
- peak cap.
- moistened shammy in a zip-lok bag
- 6m of 4mm woven chord to use as a wash line
- leatherman
- insulation tape
- spare antenna for the 2-way radio (so I can go portable)
- 3 off 500kg steel karibiners
- lots of pens to give petrol attendants when I fill up and to kids or folk I stop to chat to along the way.
- energy bars and sweeties.
- 30ml bottle of Dettol hand wash sanitiser.
- laminated list of my radio channels and frequencies
- laminated list of club ride safety rules.
- a tight roll of a few zip-lok bags
