- A Yammie DT250 and Honda's CB550F & CB750K2 in the 70’s gave way to my family, son’s Robin ('79) & Nicky ('81) and daughter Kate ('84). No longer married to their special mum, Debbie, and now partner to the ingenious Wendy. Fast forward to 2008, when Robin arrived in Cape Town on a Ducati Multistrada after a 32000km trek from Italy through Africa (http://mutitrek.blogspot.com) and left two weary Italian girls in my garage for 6 months. Well, they had to be ridden, didn’t they? And my dormant love of all things motorcycling was re-awakened. Fortunate to become the new owner of a good friend’s 1200GS in July 2010, I’m now set to explore our country and continent on my lady, Esmeralda.
