It’s the winter time and my favorite time of the year to camp and be out in the bush, so it’s time to visit an old favorite and therefore we are planning an overnight ride to the Buffelspoort Campsites near Ladismith for the weekend of 29 – 30 June 2013.

DAY 1 – 350kms

Monday mornings are not usually the best time for most people – me included. But today was different. I would only be going to work for a total of 15 minutes on my way out of town.

BMW MCC Cape : In and around Lesotho Onroad Tour - a trip report : With pictures & more stories

That we did ourselves a favour to add margin to our holiday by taking a day off before and after the this 4020km trip is a gross understatement.  Today, after the trip, I realise how much it is allowing me to savour the many special moments, as well as the long slow riding. Geoff, thanks again and again from the two of us.  Your ability to keep us going, organised and amply catered for is amazing.  I'm still thinking of chirping about passing you (once, on a straight, when …) but I know, best to say no more :-)

Over the years there have been requests for a "Roadies" Tour to Namibia but we have just never had the time to put such a Tour together. Now that I have some time on my hands and in discussion with Warren we have decided to offer a Club Tour to Namibia.

The Tour itinerary would look something like the following ;

Day 1) Depart Cape town on the N7 heading for Okiep where we spend our first night.

Day 2) Depart Springbok for Vioolsdrift where we cross the border into Namibia heading for Keetmanshoop where we turn off to Seeheim where we overnight.
