I bought my Dakar in Nov 2007. It's my first real motorbike. I joined the club shortly after. I like to have fun, and am a perennial joker. I'm the first person to make inappropriate comments.
Hi All, the name is Nils. I started my 2 wheel career on a 100cc honda scooter, then a CBX 250cc honda, and now im a proud owner of a Dakar '05 model. Expect to see my twin on here soon.

....back in the late 80's I've been riding a Honda XL 500, this was my everyday vehicle and my off-road toy back in Germany. After my studies I traded the scambler against an old Mercedes-Benz... Early in 2008 a friend borrowed me his VESPA (...of all 2 wheelers...!) while he was overseas and that is when I decided I need a motorbike again! Chris/CT

Used to ride superbikes in my heyday but since moving here from Jhb 4 yrs ago, decided to rather become a "dirty old man"! Married to Lianne who refuses to get on anything with only two wheels, but I'm working on it.... Love my Dakar!
Hi, Name is Andre Welgemoed, am an optometrist. Have wife and 2 daughters. Commute to work and back. +-4km,s and between 2 practices.+-10km,s.
Howzit guys, I've been riding road bikes forever and never really thought about going off the tar. Getting a DS bike is the best thing I've done for ages. It's a revelation how much fun adventure riding is and how lekka the other dirt lovers are. I now enjoy taking the route less travelled and visiting all the awesome out of the way places. This is one hellova beautiful country/continent we live in, you just need to occasionally leave the same old breakfast run routes and choose a place name on the map that you've always liked the sound of, then just pack up and go. I hope to meet and ride with you guys and gals. Cheers, Songololo
