Members who ride a BMW 1200 GS
HI, my name is Ater McDonald, I live and work in Durbanville/Belville. I am 55 yrs old and have been riding bikes forever. i am keen to get to know people who love to ride, enjoy nature and to have fun.
Hello, my name is Pat Jenkerson, sister to Brian Messenger. I live in Gauteng and have been riding bikes again since 2002. My current bike is a 2005 BMW1200 GS (okay, I know I am vertically challenged at 163cm), but just love this bike. This is my 4th BMW since 2002, and prior to that, my first life of riding (1973-1985), I owned various Japanese bikes and a BMW R100RT. Raced off-road and on-road, but now just love riding with friends, breakfast rides and trips away.
Brian and Roz invited me to join them on 2 of BMW Cape's annual tours, which I thoroughly enjoyed, as there were some awesome scenic roads on both trips.
One good thing about being single / divorced, I don't have to ask anyone's permission to buy a new motorcycle!!!!
I have been riding motorcycles for about 36 years but have bought my first "big" bike about a year ago. It is quite a difference from any smaller bike. I retired from the Detective Service at 50 years old and was contracted by the SAPS a few months ago to do Detective Training.
Name Brett Lawson. Biking since high school. Variety of bikes. Now riding dual purpose.
I am 45 years old and living in Riebeek Kasteel. My name is Herman van Heerden and I am the owner off the security com here. I like to go away on weekends on my bike to the Karoo or the Cederberge.
I like riding any make or model of bike every chance I get. My litlle boy also rides a little klx 110 every chance he gets.
We i have gone froma mountain bike maniac to the the bigger toys and im loving it.
Never really had the opportunity to get away and all that must change.
I really enjoy the camping scene and just getting on the bike and see where it takes you.
I have a daughter who lives with my ex girlfriend, my daughter is my life she is now 15months old. So over christmas mom has decided to take her to PE and the result is i best keep myself busy over this period to keep myself from missing her too much
So if anyone is planning on doing anything interesting please let me know.
Also if you know of any sites where is can get info on where i can go for a ride and a night out.
Nick
Hi - I've just recently been introduced to the club (where I immediately signed up as a member) by my riding buddy David Cade, and am now keen to have access to all the news / events etc.
I'm new to riding, only got my bike about 6 months ago, but am thoroughly enjoying it. My wife is not particularly pleased about my having a bike and will definitely not be riding pillion until she feels I'm 100% confident ...which in her view, will never happen. We shall see....
Regards
Barry

Vanessa and I enjoy taking SLOW day rides when the weather is good and granny is able to look after the 4 year old. Biking for us is more about safety, enjoyment and good fellowship.
