oraInge headlights
Gareth, favour please, this subject gets aired very often.
You can do search, its almost as bad as the tyre threads......
Orange headlight covers are fine.
no one has an issue with them except the odd sod in a blue jacket who got outta bed the wrong side.
You must as per AARTO have facing forward a headlight - White or yellow or orange.
No other colour.
The law is quite specific. Only white, yellow or orange allowed for the forward-facing lights. Also, the headlight protectore cannot be a diffuser (murky) - it must be clear orange. A search will reveal the threads where we give the exact reference to the regulation.
cool i understand. You gotta forgive me for not searching, only been a member here for a week now. the intention is interaction with others i presume. if i and or every other new comer had to search for previous threads i would not have the pleasure of interacting with you chaps....
but non the less, thank you for your input, makes things a little clearer, so many guys say ooooooooh becareful for the cops they fine you for orange headlights!!
kind Regards
Gareth
Welcome to the forum and the club. Interaction is great - I think Andy just gets frustrated sometimes because that is how he is built and because towards the end of the week he has withdrawal symptoms
.
Some people carry a copy of the specific regulation in case a cop tries to fine them. KTM bikes come with orange headlamps as standard, so how can it be illegal? My wife did her bike license on a bike with an orange headlight cover. If you get a fine just have it overturned.
I have only once ever had an issue with a cop - and it was because my license had expired, not because I was standing, lane-splitting or had an orange headlight. He must have been psychic: picked me out from my group of about 10 bikes and nailed me for something even I couldn't see was wrong in my wallet! Julie got it anulled later anyway (worth her weight in gold that woman).
Welcome Gareth, I'm a mused ebcause this topic is used by some hust ti stir as it always brings on debate, like the tyres.
If you want to be very popular Gareth, ask what tyres are better to wear....
Charlie, I'm frustrated because I'm fat. I can no longer mulitple orgasm and listening to all those weight loss tpaes is doing nothing.
I'm going to stop listening.
Also vendors sell the covers.
But you do occasionally get the odd cop who has a bad hair day stop you. Pete O jad one stop him, and make him take it off, but thats was because it was Pete's birthday coming up and he was jealous./
