Morgan-Belle Fundraising (Red Cross Childrens Hosp)
I am not sure if any of you have been following the following thread on Wilddogs...http://www.wilddog.za.net/forum/index.php?topic=98644.1060
A PE Wilddog's (Tornado F5), little 5 year old daughter (Morgan-Belle) was diagnosed with a brain tumour. She was flown down to Red Cross Children's Hospital 4 weeks ago and has been stabilised to allow her to undergo chemo starting today.
I have been visiting them in hospital over the last 3 weeks and have been blown away by her bravery and her parents dedication to her.
The Wilddogs have taken the Red Cross Childrens Hospital up as a cause and have produced stickers the sale of which will raise funds for Red Cross. A ride is also being planned for Sunday 8 July (tentative) to the hospital to distribute toys etc
The family have adopted a phrase to fight this tumour and it is....
ALL WILL BE WELL IN THE END, IF ALL IS NOT WELL, THEN IT IS NOT THE END
The stickers have this phrase printed on them and look like this
I am able to get some stickers for sale (R 20.00) at the next club meeting. Would anybody be interested in me getting some and bringing them along ? Alternatively you could just donate and I will ensure it reaches the Hospital.
I have been humbled by these kids and their bravery in their individual fights...some have horrific burns, others menningitis and various other chronic aliments, yet take it all with a smile
This is Morgan-Belle.
and another of my new "friends" Siya, he has menningitis and has had to undergo a few brain operations, proudly wearing his Springbok jersey I got him as he is a big rugby fan. The jersey was put on him on Sunday and I was sent a photograph with "Happy Father's Day Adrian, Siya" (Got something in my eye !!)
pm me if you are interested so I can gauge how many stickers I should get.
I'll take five, thanks Adrian.
I will take 20
The response, nationwide, has been so great that they are having to reprint. I hope to have some in my grubby paws by Friday for the meeting. Just trying to get a handle on numbers ..... thanks for the response so far.....I had no doubt that the BMWMCCC would come to the party hence I offered to help sell.
I have managed to get my grubby paws on about 65 of the stickers.....45 committed to. Hope some other will bring small change to buy the rest at the meeting.
I have arranged for the donation of R4000.00 to the Red Cross Childrens Hospital Trust, for allocation by them to their areas of need.
But please, let's buy all Adrians stickers as well as there can never be enough. Bring your twenty bucks to the club meeting next Tuesday.
You make grown men cry !
Thank you for this very generous contribution. The Funds are going directly to the Red Cross Hospital Trust and will be allocated to Ward D1's needs as far as possible.
I only have about 65 or so stickers so will not be able to sell more, but if anyone wishes to donate in a personal capacity I will ensure it goes into the Trust under Morgan-Belle's name.
Great initiative Warren. Well done!
I again remember why I am a member of this great Club!!
Morgan-Belle is going home to PE next week and will continue her treatment there. She had her first round of chemo on Monday and when I visited last night she was still "under the weather". She will have another treatment next Monday and then go home. She is a very brave little girl and has 2 wonderful parents.
Here is Morgan-Belle together with Warren and Amelia.
Your donation will be part of her legacy at Red Cross and as Warren (her Dad) says it is all part of paying it forward.
Hi warren,im in Plett please can you reserve five stickers for me, I will pay into bank acc. please forward account details.
Regards Graham Black
