BMW MCC Cape - Club Breakfast Ride with John Geldenhuys
Report : First Club mid week ride for 2013
This is not really a trip report at all.
We held our first mid week ride of 2013 and had 22 riders with us which was an amazing turn out.
Although rain threatened in every direction we looked we were fortunate to only have a few spots of rain on our approx 350kms ride.
We had a lovely lunch in the harbour area at Kleinmond.
I will arrange another mid week ride shortly.
Meet and Ride Breakfast - Sunday 16 September
After all the weekends with bad weather, I think we should take advantage of the brilliant weather expected this weekend, so the first “meet and ride” breakfast run will take place this Sunday, 16 September. Remember, the idea is as follows:
- If you want to ride, you will rendezvous at the usual spot in Plattekloof at the Engen Wimpy at 07H30 on Sunday for a 08H15 departure.
- The details of the chosen restaurant will be left in an envelope at the rendezvous.
The December 2011 STUFF OF LEGENDS Malgas Dash
In Dec 2010, 5 adventure riders - James, Justin ,Wayne, Clayton and Andyman took off on the MIDDELPOS DASH.
An overnighter, camping at Oasis.
What a special ride.
Feb 28th 2010 - Cedarberg Oasis intermediate ride GROUP 2 REPORT
Sunday 28th February 2010.
What a way to end a month!!
I was priveleged tolead the 2nd group of 14 bikes from the Winelands Engen 1 Stop to the Cedarburg Oasis and home.
Sometimes you have a ride where everything just slots in & ‘clicks’.
This was one of them.
10 of the 14 riders were new to me and we’ve note ridden together before.
Our usual service crew was AWOL – and will be on orders on Monday, but hoofseun managed to get a wonderful service team together – Megan managing the pilot Nolene and her co-pilot Di.
