Greetings all,

Firstly my apologies for the delay in getting this Tour info to you all but here it now is.

I am sending this out to all the people on the list below that showed an interest in doing this trip when I sent out the original notification in November. Please advise me if you are still interested in joining this Tour and also have the courtesy to advise me if you no longer are interested. This saves me lots of unnecessary follow up work.

The planning for this trip in the second quarter of 2012 is at an advanced stage. It is specifically aimed at riders who have progressed beyond the beginners stage and for riders who want to bring their partners along with them.

Only 5 days leave needed.

Riders must be able to ride at at least 80kph on the good dirt roads and at 120 plus a bit on the Tar.

The Tour will be an ideal opportunity for you to take your riding skills way ahead of where they currently are. It has also been planned in such a way as to be able to make quick changes should the going be tougher than the group is ready for. I highly doubt we will need to exercise this option though.

The dirt component of this Tour will start in close proximity of Cape Town and our first night will be at Tsitsikamma not as per usual in PE. However our dirt normally starts after PE.

We will pop into the Transkei over the Kei River by Pont and have lunch at Trennerys.

Below is the planned itinerary. Please note that final costs are not yet confirmed. You can however budget between R6000 & R6500.00 per person DB&B for the Tour.

The Tour will as always be accompanied by the back up vehicle and Club trailer. This vehicle carries all your baggage.

Note that the distances are approximate and overnight destinations could be amended

  • 26th May - Day 1 : CT to Tsitsikamma Hotel - 665kms
  • 27th May - Day 2 : Tsitsikamma to Port Elizabeth - 256kms
