Dual and invitational Breakfast Ride, 18 December 2011
John Geldenhuys and I are planning the last breakfast ride for 2011 to the Festa Restaurant at the Klein Valley Wedding and conference Center outside of Wellington on Bainskloof Road. A stunning location by all accounts.
18 December 2011, usual new meeting place in Plattekloof, 07H30 meet for a 08H00 departure.
The ride will take the format of the first dual ride we did, an interesting all tar, one group ride there, and for those that want to play in the dirt on the way home, well, we will find you something, I am sure, Paarl Mountain comes to mind, otherwise there are plenty of nice good gravel roads around, not those backside tightening ones John led us down from Darling.
The venue has offered us breakfasts as follows:
- Farm style Breakfast - Crispy bacon, fried eggs, grilled tomato, sautéed mushrooms, beef chipolata, toasted ciabata and jam.
- Salmon Croissant - scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on a butter croissant.
- Festa croissant - scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and buffalo mozzarella on a butter croissant.
- Coffee and tea as usual.
All this for only R65.00 including the tip and one of the best restaurant views around.
And as this is the last breakfast run for 2011, invite your mate, even if he rides something green or something red, were not fussed by green bikes, in fact I secretly have one.
So if you are in town, please come and join us, because if you aren’t there, how can I give you your Christmas present. We should be done by 10H00 so those that have to cut grass will be finished before lunch and those that want to play a little more will be home in time for lunch.
Warren
see you sunday!
